with 5-10 years of civil litigation defense experience.
One position will focus on auto liability and insurance
fraud, while the second position will involve a variety
of premises liability, products liability, auto liability
and real estate litigation. Both positions are discovery
intensive with the opportunity for significant client
contact, arbitration and trial work.
The successful applicant will have excellent legal
writing and oral advocacy skills and will have graduated
from an ABA accredited law school; insurance defense

Law Firm Seeks Director of Risk Management

Thelen Reid Brown Raysman & Steiner LLP in San
Francisco is looking for a Director of Risk Management.
The individual will report directly to the Chief Financial
Officer, and will work closely with the General Counsel
and Office of the Chair, as well as other Firm leadership
and attorneys.
The ideal candidate is a large law firm associate
who is approximately 7-9 years out, who no longer
wants to be a billing attorney and is looking for
a management role at a law firm. The individual need
not have risk management experience. A JD degree from
an accredited law school is required.
General Responsibilities include: Firm-wide management
and oversight responsibility for new business intake,
review and resolution of new business conflicts, lateral
attorney conflict checks, and conflict records retention.
The Director will review the Firm's existing processes,
develop and implement best practices, and integrate
all new attorneys and existing and future merger partners
into those best practices. The Director will be responsible
for hiring, management and oversight of the conflicts
staff, which includes both attorneys and non-attorney
staff.
